The Waterloo Region Ecumenical Living in Right Relations Group is pleased to share news of this upcoming Waterloo film screening with you. It is upbeat and highly engaging, an excellent model of a reconciliation project, done in " a good way", with proper consultation, relationship building and remuneration of Indigenous partners.


WHAT: Waterloo Film Premiere of ‘Walking Through the Fire’

Sultans of String ( 3X JUNO nominees) announces its Waterloo Premiere of Walking Through The Fire, a musical film that brings the magic of collaboration to the screen, with award-winning First Nations, Métis, and Inuit artists. The Premiere will feature opening remarks with filmmaker and Sultans of String producer Chris McKhool and a powerful Q&A with McKhool and Shannon Thunderbird, an Indigenous elder and Walking Through The Fire collaborator.

Walking Through The Fire won “Best Musical Film” and “Best Soundtrack” at the Cannes World Film Festival!
